Robert de [28] Stafford (Roger de, 169) (Cpt.Peerage, P168) ("Robert de
Stafford, yr. s. of Roger de Toeni was one of the greater tenants-in-chief in
1086. In 1072 he made a grant to Eveshem Abbey of Wrottesley and Loynton, co.
Stafford; in 1088 he renewed the grant when he had become a monk and was lying
sick in Eveshem Abbey. He is said to have m. Avice de Clare, but no such person
can be traced. He d. probably in 1088 and was probably bur. at Eveshem
Abbey." [Complete Peerage, P.168] ). Born, circa 1030 (??). Died, circa
1088 (??) in Eveshem Abbey, Co, Stafford.
