great-grandparents George W. Dunham and Lydia Jane Baker in Whitesboro, NY,
witness: Lydia M. Dunham, wife of Rev. M. Earl.
The
Reverend M. Earl (PhD, DD) graduated from Hamilton College, Clinton, NY. His
son, George Earl, was also an alumnus of Hamilton, and a noted newspaper
publisher in Utica, NY.
In
his 1907 "Genealogy," Isaac Watson Dunham, in his preface
"Kinsman Correspondents" lists Rev. Moses E. Dunham, Whitesboro, NY.
). Born, 6 Feb 1825. Died, 1898. Occupation: M.E. Clergyman. Reference: IJH118.
He
married, first, Harriet Ursula Hughson (IWD, P22), circa 1858. Born, circa 1826
(??). Died, before 1871. Reference: IJH118W1. Children:

George Earl 20-1 [1] (ibid.) (George Earl Dunham graduated from Hamilton College
in 1879, youngest in his class. He was the editor and publisher of "The
Utica Daily Press" until his death and he endowed the Dunham Library
in Whitesboro, NY. He and his wife Helen L. (Jones) had no issue. [Source:
