If
you have read this far, there are four people you should know:
1.
Isaac Watson Dunham of Hartford, Connecticut, who spent much of his life
researching his roots and cousins and who, in 1907, published the "Dunham
Genealogy" sub-titled "English and American Branches of the Dunham
Family."
2.
Frank K. Lorenz, Curator of Special Collections, Hamilton College, who provided
the compiler with many pounds of documentation.
3.
Janine C. Krecidlo, Library Director of Dunham Public Library, for her
courteous assistance.
4.
George Earl Dunham (1859/1922) whose generous philanthropy has made possible
this library and the library of his alma mater, Hamilton College.
The following documents will take one back through 38 generations from George Earl Dunham (1859/1922) to the grandfather of King Alfred "The Great" in the eighth century in England.
