The Club has also undertaken other activities, such as bus trips to historical sites, including the United States Military Academy at West Point; Washington's Headquarters and the New Windsor Encampment in Newburgh; Saratoga Battlefield; Grant Cottage; a trip to Boston to view the Titanic artifacts; The Philip Schuyler home and a trip to numerous George Washington related sites such as Mount Vernon. It has hosted several well-received "drive-ins" of fully restored World War II era jeeps.

The Club has also hosted two Revolutionary War encampments at the Dunham Public Library. They've sponsored many exhibits and displays at the library on historical topics and has booths at local historical events to pass out literature on the club and its activities. It's hosted living history programs such as a couple of popular appearances by Dr Robert Harris, a Gettysburg battlefield guide, who donned Federal costume to portray a Union soldier. It has bought nationally known folksinger Don Laird Jr to present a series of songs from the Revolutionary War, The Civil War and World War II.
The History Club also makes donations to worthy causes: When the Doolittle School house in the town of Paris needed a 30 star flag, the Club donated one to them. The Club also sponsors a photography contest each year which is open to the public, allowing anyone to take part and display their pictures of historic sites. The Club also takes pride in the fact that it is an amateur contest and growing in popularity.
The Club boasts members from all over Central New York and as far away as Florida! Its memberships are easily affordable and since it is a non-profit organization registered with the IRS, any donations or dues paid to the club are tax deductible. The Club welcomes anyone to become a member who has an interest in history...ANY kind of history. If you join, you are eligible for discounts on future bus trips; you will receive our monthly newsletter: "HISTORICALLY SPEAKING", you will be able to participate in the photo contest each year for free and much more!
